Grigory Pavlovich Pyatigorsky (in the English version Gregor Piatigorsky; 1903-1976) was an American cellist of Jewish origin. Piatigorsky is considered one of the best cellists of his generation.
Alexander Pavlovich Stogorsky (real name - Pyatigorsky; February 13 (26), 1910, Yekaterinoslav - January 6, 1987, Moscow) was a Soviet cellist and music teacher. Brother of G.P. Pyatigorsky.
