*Semyon Khalatov - (1876-1948) was an Armenian Soviet composer, teacher, conductor and artist. He was born in Moscow. At first he studied composition with Professor I.N. Protopopov (student of G.A. Laroche and A.S. Arensky). He continued his further studies with R.M. Gliere.
**Alexander Spendiarov (Spendiaryan) (November 1, 1871, Kakhovka, Russian Empire – May 7, 1928, Yerevan, Armenia) was an Armenian and Russian music composer, conductor, founder of Armenian national symphonic music.
